Two roads diverged in a wood, and I took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference
-Robert Frost-
Since I’ve taken an unorthodox approach to life since I was born, there’s been so many experiences that I’ve been through, I sometimes forget most of them.
Talking to people older than me, they always say that they’d wished they had the chance to explore the world like I did, instead of spending it all in classrooms learning things they don’t care about.
Though I feel grateful that I’ve taken the road that I did, I still don’t know how it would all turn out to be in the end.
During my adventures in Semi Palar, I’ve met so many inspirational people and communities, doing what they think is best for this world and in their own way. Scales from local to international, passion in what they do paints a beautiful image in the world around them.
It’s important to process all the experience and knowledge you get in your own time, else it gets jumbled up into an incomprehensible ball of scattered thoughts, useless until it’s forgotten.
There’s countless little tidbits of my life that I simply don’t remember now, because I didn’t take the time to process it and write it down, simply dismissing them as one of my little adventures. This can be dangerous because you if can’t learn anything from it, then all the time and energy you’ve spent doing it will also lose it meaning.
When you experience something, you get to also learn something new about yourself, and be a better person because of it.
I feel like I’ve understood myself better after I let all my experiences sink in, so I can sort out which parts really speaks to me, because those little voices that calls is who you are.
Be sure to follow it.
