So today we can tell our group project in a slide (presentation). We took many suggestions from Kak Leo, Kak Gina, and Kak Robert. But overall, they said that our idea for this project is awesome and unique! One of the suggestions is about the difference between strategy and planning.
The terms ‘strategy’ and ‘planning’ often confuse people with their meaning. When I think to myself, it sounds the same. But the more I dive in, the more I get to know it better.
The strategy itself is the approach or how to reach the long-term goal. Strategy is about making decisions that define how to succeed in the goals that have been set.
Planning, on the other hand, is the process of detailing the specific steps, actions, and resources required to implement a strategy. It involves breaking it down into actionable tasks and timelines.
So what I think the difference is:
Strategy is the big-picture vision and direction and planning is the detailed steps and actions to execute the strategy.
Other than strategy and planning, what I think would be the critical point of this project is communication skills. Because sometimes when we want to tell something but we keep it to ourselves, we will be misled by others. I hope that this project will go as well as what we wrote in our proposal/presentation.
