cyberterrorism is the use of the internet to conduct violent acts that result in, or threaten, the loss of life or significant bodily harm, in order to achieve political or ideological gains through threat or intimidation. acts of deliberate, large-scale disruption of computer networks, especially of personal computers attached to the internet by means of tools such as computer viruses, computer worms, phishing, malicious software, hardware methods, and programming scripts can all be forms of internet terrorism. cyberterrorism is a controversial term. some authors opt for a very narrow definition, relating to the deployment by known terrorist organizations of disruption attacks against information systems for the primary purpose of creating alarm, panic, or physical disruption. other authors prefer a broader definition, which includes cybercrime. participating in a cyberattack affects the terror threat perception, even if it isn't done with a violent approach. by some definitions, it might be difficult to distinguish which instances of online activities are cyberterrorism or cybercrime.

As you can read in the title there's the name Koobface, who is this person, what did the person do, how did person become a cyber-terrorist, and why. It all started with a video link to YouTube, if you click the link it will send you directly to YouTube but there would be an ad for an antimalware software that you can't close and if u accepted the ad your computer would immediately be a zombie. And this attack didn't just happen from Youtube, the same attack happened on Twitter, Myspace, Facebook, Skype, and many more, from all of this attack many half-dead computers around the US became contracted to something called a Botnet (AI / Bot Network). One of the solutions to stop this attack is to search the link and find the IP address (Internet Protocol Address) but Koobface used a tactic called Fast Flux, Fast Flux would change the IP address of someone in a rapid subsection and "be untraceable". It's 1997 and one of the most popular websites is Yahoo, more than 17 million people visited yahoo every month but at 07.00 PM, December 8th. Yahoo is hijacked there was a message, the message reveals that the computer of every person who visited yahoo in the past month had been infected with a worm and it will completely destroy the computer until the hijacker's demand is fulfilled and they're demand is "FREE KEVIN"
