Graphic design is important to attract the reader's attention and interest. There are many different ways of doing this, but here are the 3 most effective.Β
First, there's white space. White space is the way we use empty space in relation to a text, a photo,... Everything is calculated to make the symmetry work. For example, if you put a photo and there's a 2-centimeter space on the left, then you need 2 centimeters on the right.
afterwards, the text alignment. When we have a text, we have different choices for aligning it, and this choice will also play a role in attracting the reader's attention. Always align to the left and never justify. If you do justify, then the spaces between the different words will almost all be different, which isn't aesthetic because it's a big block and can confuse the eye.Β
Finally, there's the rule of three. This involves dividing an image or design into several sections, using columns. It's used to align text, position photos or arrange all the elements so that the viewer's eye can absorb the information more easily.
In conclusion, white space, text alignment and the rule of threes are important for better legibility and more aesthetic design.
Thank you for your first post here in Ririungan Celie. Looking forward to other piece of writing. Here you can leave some traces of your experiences during your stay in Indonesia. If you want you can also write in French. There are some essays written in German as well. Quite a few in English. So yeah. See you in your next post. π€ππΌππΌ
